WEARING OF THE UNIFORM

1. We ask that you wear the uniform with pride any time you attend a unit meeting or training event, or any other time at we will be in the public eye.

2. That public eye may include but is not limited to, political rallies, trips to the shooting range, gun shows, interviews, public militia meetings, or other times and places where the ability to recruit is evident.

3. When in public our uniform should be neat, complete and clean.

4. We want to promote a positive and professional image by our actions while in uniform.

5. Remember, "our uniform is to stand out to those who hope and also to those who would deprive others of hope!*"

OVFF UNIFORM PROTOCOLS

1. Official uniform pattern will be matching vietnam (green and black) tiger stripe BDU's.

2. All pockets on shirt and pants are to be buttoned.

3. If you choose to wear your shirt unbuttoned, shirt should be removed.

4. Pants legs are to be bloused into boot tops.

5. Boots shall be black, OD, Tan, or Brown.

6. Black boots should be brush shined, others should be clean.

7. Belt should be Black OD, Tan, or Brown.

8. Four pocket shirts should hang freely.

9. Two pocket shirts should be tucked in the pants.

10. T-Shirts should be tiger stripe, black, OD, tan, or brown in color.

11. When outdoors, headgear should be worn when in uniform.

A. Boonie caps should be tiger stripe

B. Ball or Ranger Caps can be tiger stripe, OD, or black.

C. Winter watch cap can be OD, Brown, or Black.

12. Gloves shall be dark color low visibility type.

13. Field Jackets or Winter Gear should be tiger stripe, OD green, or brown when possible.

Uniform Patching

1. Unit patch is located 1 inch down and centered on left shoulder.

2. U.S. OD green flag located 1 inch down centered on the right shoulder with stars facing forward.

3. OVFF tape placed over the left pocket, ends even with the length of the pocket bottom touching the top of the pocket.

4. Right hand pocket should have a piece of OD green velcro over the pocket placed exactly like the above.

5. All campaign ribbons, citations, awards, and medals earned in the U.S. military are authorised to be worn.

6. Officers and NCO's shall have low visibilty rank insiginia on collar and head gear.

Tactical Gear

1. Tactical gear, such as holsters, pistol belts, ammo pouches, should be purchased in tiger stripe, OD green, coyote brown, or black

2. We understand that the above might not always be possible.
